Re: HBS 3 - backup jobs randomly hangs on "Calculating and storing MD5 value100%"
What's the status of this??? I keep trying to update, and then the backup jobs hang on "Calculating and storing MD5 value 100%." That is on ver. 24.1.0529.
I revert to ver. 24.1.0515, and ALL works fine.

I stop ver. 24.1.0529, and then install the old ver. (24.1.0515), using a file I downloaded long ago manually.

No, it does not delete the configurations.

Re: HBS 3 - backup jobs randomly hangs on "Calculating and storing MD5 value100%"
Been having the same issue for months. Glad I found this thread, although I'm a little surprised it's taking this long to resolve the issue. I only have the problem when the job is running via schedule, not when I run it manually. I'm literally stopping the job every day and running it manually, which kind of undermines the concept of a backup solution.
I know I'm preaching to the choir here.

Same issue here. Just manually stopped a backup job that's been sitting with 1 minute to complete for over a day. All files appear to have been backed up fine.

I understood from QNAP they are currently testing V25 and plan to release it beginning of Sept. However, testing is to find bugs, which will cause delay. Lets see.

The HBS3 version 25 is available now: https://www.qnap.com/en/app_releasenote ... bridBackup . Hooray (partial)!
Did anyone try if the issue which interests us has been actually solved (reported by Qnap as Fixed Issue number one)?
PS. What concerns myself, being a guinea pig does not excite me any more, perhaps due to age

Re: HBS 3 - backup jobs randomly hangs on "Calculating and storing MD5 value100%"
After installing HBS ver. 25.0.0.406 it seems to be working. I am mid-way through my backups to my TR-004 and they have all cleared the previous hurdle.

Re: HBS 3 - backup jobs randomly hangs on "Calculating and storing MD5 value100%"
I now have a new error though;
I run HBS backup jobs between my NAS (TVS-872XT) and my local BU (TR-004), direct connection via USB. The backup jobs run correctly, and files are backed up.
However, when I check Data Integrity, half the jobs now stop saying "The latest check has been stopped" and then the time. Half of the jobs finished reporting "Good", and there is no commonality between the backups that pass or fail the integrity check.
Any suggestions on what to do next?

I do not use "Data Integrity Check" and in my small NAS everything goes fine with all the eight backups.
