Nas will not power on

Post by Jvpix.com »

Hi all, before I left for vacation I shutdown my ts-653d and unplugged it. When I came back a week later, I plugged it back in but now it won’t turn on. I notice a buzzing sound coming from the “brick” of the power supply and the little green light is on. If I unplug the power from the wall, the buzzing stops. If it’s plugged into the wall but I unplug the power from the back of the nas, the buzzing also stops. Do you think the problem is with the power supply or the nas itself? Thanks.

Hard-to-say, it could be either.

Try ejecting the HDDs (no-need to eject them fully, just enough so they're not plugged-in), then power-on the NAS. Does it start without the drives connected?

Tried that and it still doesnt power on. I ordered another third party power adapter. Hopefully it wont burn down my house. The brand is called UpBright. The oem from qnap is out of stock.
