ISCSI specify advertising adapters/interfaces

Post by dselen »

Hello all,

I want to provide some context, I have an old QNAP NAS (TS-EC1279U-RP) With QTS 4.3.6.2805 and I wanted to expose a ISCSI target for my Proxmox hypervisors to use. However, we have the QNAP NAS connected using 2 interfaces, 1 Gigabit adapter and one 10Gigabit adapter.

Even though I specify on Proxmox that it should use the latter, the 10 Gigabit interface, it still uses the 1Gigabit one, because the QNAP NAS advertises it. How can I disable this advertisement, I only want the 10 Gigabit ports to be advertised for use. The 1 Gigabit link is only for management and web-GUI use.

This could be because this QNAP QTS version is deprecated and the feature is available in a newer version, but I might be missing something. Does anyone have some suggestions?
