Back up iPhone to TS-264 using HBS-3 'USB One Touch Copy

Hello Community Members,

I'm writing to ask if anyone here backs up their iPhone directly to their QNAP NAS (i.e. TS-264, my unit)
using HBS 3's "USB One Touch Copy" software and appropriate cable (USB-A to USB-C) connection to
front panel USB port.

From everything I've read, it looks possible, though it's never explicitly stated.

I have no Apple stuff, but can your NAS read any data when you plug it in via USB? if yes..then maybe, if no..then SOL

Thanks for your comment dolbyman. To answer your question: Here's info from pg 56 of the QNAP TS-x62 & TS-x64 User Guide:

USB One Touch Copy Button
The USB One Touch Copy button allows you to copy data backups from a USB device (iPhone is) to the NAS or from the NAS to a USB device.
This feature supports incremental backups. The NAS only copies files that were modified or added after the last backup.
To configure the behavior of the button when an external device is connected to the button's USB port, install and use
Hybrid Backup Sync on your QNAP operating system. For details, see the Hybrid Backup Sync documentation.

So far, this method could be as effective as an iCloud backup without using the internet, which is what I'm looking for.

I understand what the backup does, but the question if the QNAP can actually see the iphone as a storage device remains unanswered.

From the HBS-3 software documentation link provided above:
The software will recognize a USB device connected to the NAS.
USB One Touch Copy Button can be configured to use the USB port in 1 of 3 ways:
1/Smart Import, 2/USB One Touch Copy Button, 3/External Storage Drive.

Since TS-264 User Guide indicates I can perform the function, I believe I can do it.
May have to ask QNAP Canada in the end.
Also, HBS-3 software is showing me the option to perform the USB One Touch Copy; it's not greyed out.

From the QNAP website:
Configuring USB One Touch Copy (Note: words in brackets are mine)
The USB One Touch Copy button is a physical button with a USB port available on some QNAP NAS models
designed for quick data transfer between the NAS and an external device (not an external storage device).
HBS-3 allows you to configure the behavior of pressing the button when an external device is connected to
the button’s USB port.

1/ Open HBS 3. 2/ Go to Services > USB One Touch Copy. 3/ Select an Operating Mode.

Here's the Operating Mode explanation for USB One Touch Copy Button:

Configures advanced actions after pressing the USB One Touch Copy button.

a/ Click Settings.

The USB One Touch Copy window opens.

b/ Select a backup mode.

c/ Select a backup action.

Add directory: Backs up data to a new directory in the destination folder.

Copy: Backs up data to the destination folder.

Synchronize: Copies data from the source to the destination. Any duplicate data
in the destination will be overwritten with the source data. Any destination data
that does not exist in the source folder will be removed.

Select the 'Efficiently handle sparse files' option to skip empty files.

d/ Select the paired folders.

e/ Select Manually unmount USB drive.

f/ Select Enable the alarm buzzer.

g/ Configure notification rules.

i/ Click Notifications.

ii/ Select the job event rules.

The problem is: iOS doesn't expose the whole user filesystem via the USB/Lightning interface.
