Hi,
Ive recently bought on Ebay a QNAP TS 464 with 4 10TB drives, 2x2Tb NVMEs 1x560 and 1x1TB all Samsung as well as a 10GBE/2SSD express card.
All fine and dandy and starting to learn how to use it before I upgrade my drives into a NAS media server. I will explore with the small drives before investing in some larger size drives for my media mostly 4K films etc as well as multi-channel music in Flac format. I sense this will be a bit of a learning curve debating how best to create storage pools/drives/volumes/directories.
Anyway, However, this morning, I replaced the two 2TB drives with 4TB drives for my music archive (I'm a fan of 5.1/multichannel music).
Since then, my 10GBE card doesn't seem to eb working, though I can access the two drives.
Am I missing something silly that I forgot to do?
Adrian

did you perhaps move the card whilst putting in the 2 drives perhaps? is the 10gb card/port seen in the Network and Virtual switch app?
Regards Simon

Re: New To World of NAS/QNAP (10GBE not working)
Sadly nope but the two drives are, so I sort assume the card itself is okay.
But I'll shut down and check....
The cable itself is working if I move it to the other 2.5gbe network card.
Even though the switch is 10gbe capable, Ithe status is only showing 1gbe...
How do I combine them I wonder - time forgather google search...

if your 2.5GbE NICs also only show 1GbE..something is wrong with your equipment
Look into SMB Multichannnel to combine 2.5GbE ports

only thing I could suggest is either both switch port and card set to auto negotiate, or set them both to 10GbE FULL perhaps. is your cable CAT6 or above?
