Android - every photo gets uploaded to an individual folder

Post by zxmon21 »

Hi,
I'm using QFile 4.4.0.0207 on Samsung A546 Android 14, Android sec patch level 2025 feb 01

I've set up Multimedia Auto Upload in Qfile to /Qsync/Camera uploads.
Organize new uploads "Combine into one folder"
Uploaded file name "original filename"

I noticed that files synced to QSync in the last few days are not uploaded directly into /Qsync/Camera, but into an individual subfolder inside that folder (e.g. a file ends up in \QSync\Camera Uploads\20250301_173916.jpg\20250301_173916.jpg)

I don't need fotos to be uploaded into one folder per file, but all files should end up in /Qsync/Camera

Have any of you guys seen this? Even better: Do you know why it started, and how I can stop it?

Yes I've just noticed I'm getting this also since the 27 Feb. The app seems to have a new option called Organize new uploads with options:
  • Combine into one folder (default - each upload batch creates a folder)
  • Source folder structure (it creates folders /Internal storage/DCMI/Camera)
  • By album name (creates folder called Camera)
  • By year (creates folder called 2025)
  • By year and month (created folder called 2025/03)
I already had it set up to upload to a folder called 2025 so just change this setting to By year and edited the upload destination to /Photos/CameraSync
Somewhat annoying to have to figure this out but now I don't need to create a new folder every year I guess.
