Hi
Sorry if there is an easy or obvious solution but I have been struggling for days.
My TS251+ failed and so I have replaced with a TS262. My Bose soundtouch and Pioneer media player could easily "browse" my multimedia folders on the TS251. On the 262 the folders are not showing and I cannot resolve
Select "songs" on my music players and they can see both see all of my individual music tracks in one large clump (despite them being spread across many folders on the nas) so clearly there is a connection to the 262.
However one large clump of songs is not that helpful. I need to browse the folders that they are contained in
Qcloud apps such as file station, q music etc all show the folder structure no problem. Its only my media players that cannot
Any clues
Thanks
Jon

What media server are you running on the NAS?

QNAP TS-231P-US 2x18TB Seagate Exos X18 HDD Raid-1

I guess we are talking about DLNA. DLNA shows you different folders that file station or SMB would (different protocols)
If your media players in fact do support SMB, you can (and should) uninstall all these 'stations'

HI
OK. Only difference between old server and new server was the old server had plex installed. I never actually use Plex. I installed Plex on new server and i can now see my folders!!
Strange but problem is now solved. Thanks for your response. Your question about "installed media server" gave me the clue. Just what i needed. Cheers bud

Try running MinimServer on your NAS.
