how to test LTS camera through the internet

Post by maymay »

Hello,

I have a TS-453PRO QNAP, looking to buy some LTS IP cameras. I'm running Surveillance Station version 5.0.2. In speaking with the company, they provided the information below for me to test the camera remotely.

demo.ltsnj.com (or 50.192.224.245)
http port: 8222
Server port: 8223
RTSP port: 8224
Login: admin
password: 12345lts

When I enter the following configuration below, I get the message "Connection failed. The IP address is invalid." by clicking the Test button.

Channel: Channel1
Camera Brand: LTS
Camera Model: LTS CMIP3012
Camera Name: Camera 1
IP Address: 50.192.224.245
Port: 8222
RTSP Port: 8224
WAN IP Address: 50.192.224.245
Port: 8222
RTSP WAN Port: 8224
User Name: admin
Password: 12345lts

Do you know what I'm doing wrong? It's expecting me to enter the IP address in order to click the Next button. So, I put the same IP address of the WAN IP address. Do I need to do something with my router side? Please forgive me as I'm a newbie at this.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have just tried those settings and they do not work for me either. Nothing wrong with what you have shown.
It's not possible to tell for sure what they have exposed to the internet, or how they have done it, but there is no camera listening service on the specified ports at the address shown.
It looks like a Windows server.

Code: Select all

Nmap scan report for ltsnj.com (50.192.224.245)
Host is up (0.11s latency).
Not shown: 990 closed ports
PORT STATE SERVICE
21/tcp open ftp
25/tcp filtered smtp
80/tcp open http
90/tcp filtered dnsix
135/tcp filtered msrpc
139/tcp filtered netbios-ssn
445/tcp filtered microsoft-ds
1080/tcp filtered socks
3389/tcp open ms-wbt-server
7999/tcp open irdmi2

Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 12.89 seconds

*Edit* Try this IP address - the one shown above is not correct for demo.ltsnj.com
50.242.31.173
It connects OK, shows an office full of people working hard.

TS-431+ for storage and media and a bunch of IP cams under Surveillance Station. TVS-473 as files backup and QVR Pro.
