Root Password in Linux Station Ubuntu?

Post by tbonifie » Tue Oct 11, 2016 6:29 am

I loaded Linux Station with Ubuntu 16.04 and I'm trying to use sudo to install some additional software, but when I do so, it asks for the root password and I cannot for the life of me figure out what that is?

Is there a default root password when Linux station is installed? It's clearly not the same as the admin account password, and I've tried everything I can think of.

help?

I think the root password is the same as you log in to Ubuntu with in the first place. That should be the same as your admin qnap password?

okay, I seem to have gotten sudo to work.

Still don't know what the root password used to be, but at least now it no longer matters.

Thanks.
