Network & Virtual Switch error

Post by Calzor Suzay » Mon Oct 07, 2019 6:21 pm

Hi,

I have a TS-879 pro which I recently upgraded to the latest firmware, ever since then it's sent me these alerts:-

[Warning][NAS] Network & Virtual Switch

NAS Name: NAS
Severity: Warning
Date/Time: 2019/10/03 01:45:50

App Name: Network & Virtual Switch
Category: Infrastructure
Message: [Network & Virtual Switch] Failed to connect to the internet. System default gateway "Adapter 1" and all adapters failed to connect to the internet after checking NCSI.

I've never had a problem before and NAS is generally available (after coming our of sleep) where applicable.
Is this a firmware bug or how do I suppress this particular message?

Logging in now allows me to see the firmware section and found this viewtopic.php?f=73&t=150426&p=725936&hi ... SI#p725936
Also a few people have the same issue so I'll have a play with this setting.

how many interfaces are connected to the internal lan and what setup do that have? ie trunked together - bonded? or separate IP addresses / subnets?

is gateway set specifically to one interface or set to automatic?
Regards Simon

It has 2 interfaces but only 1 in use directly cabled to Asus router, no restriction on what it can get to beyond that.
