UPS Power loss >> need more aggressive shutdown

Post by CarbonPepper » Sat Apr 11, 2020 8:51 pm

My QNAP seems to only have one shutdown routine.

It often stalls waiting for some poorly coded app to finish what it's doing.

And it seems to use this same shutdown routine even if there is a UPS power loss event. I would prefer a power loss event to result in a more aggressive shutdown routine, I'd rather the QNAP put a bullet in the back of the head of any apps with a kill -9 rather than risk data loss with a sudden power outage.

Does anyone have any ideas?
