How to override maximum BT downloads in Download Station?

Post by Novgorod » Sat Apr 25, 2020 2:25 am

I'm using Download Station 5.6.3.154 on an ARM based QNAP, which limits the maximum simultaneous BT downloads to 10. This leads to inefficient bandwidth usage, especially when individual downloads are slow. The limit is unnecessary for performance reasons because only the number of connections has a sensible impact on performance, not the number of downloads, and the connections are already limited by the global connection limit. Is there a way to override the download limit? Simply manipulating the POST request in the settings web interface doesn't work because the app ignores POST values that are outside the hard-coded range.

There's a config file: "/etc/config/ds.conf" where you can change some options.
I'm trying to change the ADDTASK_MAXLIMIT limited by default to 30 in my model (Intel), but I can't find where... seems like it is possible on synology by editing /usr/syno/synoman/webman/3rdparty/DownloadStation/download.js but I can't find how to do it on QNAP.
