Hello,
I'm not familiar with Qnap.
We have a Qnap in a small branch of our company, more precisely a TS-459 (Firmware 4.2.6 Build 20230621).
With 4 hard disks that form a Raid 5 network.
There are 6 shared folders and no quotas set up on it,
Of the 16.6 TB provided by the system, 15 TB are still free.
I need a LUN on this Qnap. A colleague of mine mentioned that he was worried that setting up iscsi could lead to data loss.
In my research on the internet, I found nothing to support this assumption.
But since time is of the essence, I thought I'd better ask Qnap pros if I can set up a LUN on the Qnap without worry?
Maybe you can help me out. Thank you.
