ISCSI wont connect at 10G

Post by craigpwilliams1 »

I am running 2 TVS-1271U-RP together
I have 1 10G port on one machine tied to 1 10G port on the other machine.
It has worked as a connection between them for some years now.

I wanted to add a virtual machine to one and using the 10G port connect it to the other machines target,
I have tried this in many different ways and had no luck at all,
The VM I am using is the Microsoft 2022 Server Data Center version

It mounts very well using the 4 ethernet ports on the machines when I have them truncked and run thru my NetGear S3300-52X ProSafe 48 Port Switch both machines run thru this switch on 2G ethernet.

The 10G ports have never been very reliable except for when they are connected together but even then they have not been very efficent.
Is there a driver I need to run in Windows to get the 10G cards to work?
The ISer virtualization guide on shows 10GBe connected this way but I have not had any luck getting it to work.
Any help appreciated. I hate having 10GBE cards that just do not have a solid throughput.
Do I need to run these in a VPN on the Switch? I had hoped to avoid having bandwitcdth.
