Any connection limit in SAMBA?

Post by Enterprise » Sat Jun 02, 2012 10:07 am

Hi,

I am using Windows 7 Enterprise edition and TS-439Pro
I try map some folder and network drive and it works
but if I map over 3-4 folder, it will said access is denied, I don't have permission to use this network
Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed.

But I tried my username and admin account, it doesn't work.
I need to reboot the window and connect the folder I want. After connected, other folder e.g. my personal folder, can't connect again until I reboot the window and nas again.

Windows can not connect with different usernames to a single host (server, nas, workstation).
But you can try to connect with the different username to the NAS with the IP-address instead with the netbios name of the NAS,
that works fine, because for windows are IP-address and netbios name different logical hosts.

I am using same username but it can't connect, seems there's a connection limit.

Only if you've manually added one to the smb.conf file: http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/man ... ONNECTIONS

How are you mapping these folders, exactly?
SS-439, Ubuntu Server 12.04.3 LTS, EXT4, RAID10, 4xHitachi 5K1000
TS-112, 4.1.x Beta, EXT4, 1xHitachi 7K1000
